Pot Lid: 'W.B. SAUL, NORTHAMPTON'
Description: A striking and exceptionally rare pictorial 'Cherry Areca Nut Tooth Paste' pot lid featuring a detailed building pictorial with clock tower situated at 'The Parade' in the centre of Northampton. Excellent quality print. Fancy border. Apparently only a 3 or 4 of these lids recorded (and most of those are sunk in local collections). One not to miss!

Condition (please see detailed photo's): Good Has a small (30mm) fine hairline on the back (that goes up the side wall and is barely visible at 8 o'clock for around 28mm on the face) and another which is just as difficult to spot at 6 o'clock on the face which runs down the side rim by about 10mm. There is also a smallish (5mm x 9mm) chip on inside the back rim (so is 95% hidden from side view) and another larger (5mm x 15mm) also on the inside of the back rim and mostly hidden from side view too (and a very small (2mm) fleabite on the back rim edge) and is otherwise excellent

Pot Lid: 'W.HUXHAM, CHICHESTER'
Description: Another striking and exceptionally rare building pictorial pot lid, this time an 'Areca Nut Cherry Tooth Paste' featuring the famous tudor Cross in Chichester's town centre. Excellent quality print. Fancy border. Again apparently only a handful of these lids recorded.

Condition (please see detailed photo's): Good Has a small (30mm) fine hairline on the back (that goes up the side wall and the minimal (5mm) is nigh on impossible to spot at 4 o'clock on the face edge) and another smaller (15mm) faint hairline on the back which runs up the side wall but is only just visible at 1 o'clock on the face (by no more than 5mm). There is a (5mm x 35mm) area of chipping/flakes on the back rim (as well as a hairline bruise) some glaze rubbing on a small part of the side rim (and some around the outside edge of the border) and some glaze-rubbing on outer rim edge in parts too and otherwise looks great on display as can be seen in the photos

Description: A scarce and large American pictorial pot lid showing the fabulous building on Capitol Hill in Washington DC. Great quality print with pedestians in the foreground together with a gent on horseback. Single line border.

Description: A striking early bears grease lid variation featuring a dark standing bear carrying a sash reading 'Highly Perfumed' and unusually with the proprietor's name clearly printed below. Chris sadly lost his fight aginst cancer back on 6th July aged just 53 and will be sorely missed. Description: This large (4.25") and imposing lid really is a work of art with great use of contrasting dark and light shading to accentuate the effect. The image so evocative of the Victorian era with a man shaving in the mirror (and the shaving pot on the table having the 'WRIGHT'S name on it). Decent print quality.

He says it originally had a crack running along the border (between around 10 o'clock and 12 o'clock on the face) and then towards the centre, but was no longer than 1 inch in total. Some slight touching up has been done in that area to a very high standard indeed. He also added that there were no chips etc
