| | Pot Lid: 'ROSS & SONS, LONDON'
Description: A fabulous Bears Grease pot lid from this named London retailer which was manufactured by F&R Pratt in Stafforshire (having the alignment dots at 3 & 9 o'clock near the lettering) and features 2 bears on a ravine in their natural habitat being shot at by a poacher while trying to protect their cubs. Full colours. Excellent quality print. The much rarer chequered double-border variant which has the original gold border too. Mounted in a wooden frame with a plaster back so no evidence either way of any possible rear damage.

Condition (please see detailed photo's): Unknown re back The front and tiny amount of what you can see of the sides looks absolutely perfect but what the rest of it is like is anyone's guess. It could be mint or have chips/hairlines on the back or even chunks out or repairs, who knows!?

| | Pot Lid: 'WILSON FRECKLE CREAM CO, CHARLESTON, SC'
Description: A fabulous complete pot lid and base from this South Carolina (USA) manufacturing chemist with all original labels and contents which was according to the wording on the labels 'to remove freckles, sunburn & tan' and even 'moth, pimples and chaps'. It goes on to explain that this is possible by use of a 'face bleach' (not so frequently recommended in this day and age!). Opaque glass lid/base and paper labels. Image of lady's face (without any freckles) within a heart.
