Condition (please see detailed photo's):  Fair/Good   Is generally good, just has a very small (8mm) but deep scratch on the face and four very small flakes on the edge of the back rim (inside and out) which are barely visible on display - (nb the slight stain on the rear rim has all but gone after a light soak in rust remover)

Description:  A scarce lid from this cathedral city in North Yorkshire, this time a Rose Cold Cream. Fine quality print

Description:  A highly impressive red pot lid featuring a fabulous pictorial of bees flying around a hive. Rarely seen for sale. Excellent quality print 

Elliott Bros (E B) operated from both Sydney and Brisbane in Australia

Condition (please see detailed photo's):  Repaired   Has had a top class professional repair. to such a high standard that it's very difficult to determine what it was like before. The vast majority of the print on the face looks to be original (if not all) but the gold band looks like is has been painted on afterwards. It also looks like the whole lid has been reglazed and is very white. Whoever did this looks to be a true professional. What price a mint one?

Pot Lid:      'MESSRS GABRIEL, LONDON, LIVERPOOL & BRIGHTON'

Description:   A fabulous and deceptively small 1/6 'Gutta Percha' lid this time uniquely with the original base together with a round underside label and one that wraps around the lid and base too . Has the important word 'Dentists' contained within the print and directions and detailed information on the paper labels too. Also has the usual swirls associated with earlier lids. Detailed high quality print. A totally unique offering. Don't miss this one!

Description:  An appealing Prattware lid featuring a lady on horseback and various sheep and cattle in the foreground. From the painting 'Travellers Conversing' by Nicholas Berghem. Particularly good print and definition for one of this series of lids. Nice mottled border

Condition (please see detailed photo's):  Good/ Very good    Just various glaze-lines on the back and sides (and two faint ones on the face not visible in the photo) none of which go all the way through, and apart from a tiny 1mm flake on the bottom edge is otherwise very good indeed
