| | Pot Lid: 'Jerram, Hatton Garden'
Description: An exquisite early coloured lid from this London retailer. Manufactured by F&R Pratt in Staffs, England (it has the two alignment dots at 3 and 9 o'clock on the face edge) and particularly well printed/coloured (even better than the example featured in Mortimer's Prattware book where it is listed as 'RRR' extremely rare). This example also has an original old rear label that reads ' HC 1931 No 248. / 'The Rose Garden' / R £3' - A great piece of history!
Era: c1848-70
Diameter: 60 mm
Condition (please see detailed photo's): Lid: Very good Just an old very insignificant (2mm x 5mm) chip on the rear rim (which is partially glazed over anyway so definitely in-manufacture) and some insignificant glaze-run on the side rim which if anything actually adds to the charm, and is otherwise excellent
Grade : 8.8 Estimate: £200-300 Reserve: £200

| | Pot Lid: 'John Gosnell, London'
Description: A rare offering of a familar Gosnell lid but with what looks like an experimentation of the glaze colour. This was unearthed in the late 1980's from the same site as the giant Gosnell advertising lid (as featured on the front page of a back BBR) dug by Tom Watkiss at the old Kirkhams factory site which according to the late Allan Bond (paper copies of correspondence to be included) were licenced to manufacture such by F&R Pratt. There was also a sepia print and dark blue Gosnell dug at the same factory location. The brown glaze in this example is very consistent and unlike burnt examples of lids I have seen in the past, this has original full sheen. Don't miss this rare opportunity!

Era: c1860-1880's
Diameter: 76 mm

** A VERY SIGNIFICANT OFFERING & EXCLUSIVE TO AA AUCTIONS LTD **
Era: c1890-1910's
Diameter: 81 mm
Condition (please see detailed photo's): Excellent Just a tiny and very insignificant (2mm) 'flaw/tiny flake' on the back edge of the rim (that looks to be in-manufacture anyway as if you examine it carefully with a magnifying glass, the glaze is rounded and smooth on the very edge of it, so almost certainly caused during firing in the kiln) and apart from a very small patch of rust on the underside (always good to see) is otherwise mint (if it wasn't for this small 'fault' it would score an easy 9.9)
Grade : 9.2 Estimate: £1500-2000+ Reserve: £1500
